24 HOUR HOLTER MONITORING
30 DAY EVENT MONITORING
Holter and event monitoring are ways to record heartbeats
away form the doctor’s office. Each one is a small
electrocardiogram (EKG) that you carry with you. The
holter monitor records your heartbeats for 24 hours. The
event monitor records your irregular heartbeats for up to
30 days. As the symptoms are felt you are asked to
activate your monitor to by pressing a small button and to
record the event in a daily dairy. While using the
monitoring devises avoid electric blankets, magnets, metal
detectors, and high voltage areas such as power lines,
these may affect the recordings. Try to sleep on your
back. Do not take a shower. Be sure to follow your regular
daily routine, do not avoid work or exercise.

TEST RESULTS: The results will be
interpreted by our cardiologists, and your physician will
be sent the test results within 24 hours.
