MISSION:

Louisville Cardiology Medical Group, PSC’s mission is to provide the community with the best care possible for patients with cardiovascular disease. That care will be distinguished by the group’s excellence in patient, family, referring physician, and employee satisfaction; the competence that the physicians and employees of the practice exude; the appropriate mix of talents and specialties for the scope of the practice; and with the use of best practices in not only the medical aspects but the business aspects of the practice.

VISION:

Louisville Cardiology Medical Group, PSC’s vision is to remain at the forefront of the medical field in terms of its expertise the group offers to the community, to grow the practice at a reasonable and sustainable rate for a group of five to seven physicians, and to build its financial strength to sustain that growth.

PHYSICIAN PROFILES

Dr. Michael Imburgia Dr. Imburgia

Dr. Imburgia received his M.D. degree from Southern Illinois University in Springfield in 1983. He completed his residency and fellowship training at Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri from 1983-1988. He became a member of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals in 2002 by becoming a certified clinical principal investigator. He has been published extensively and is involved in ongoing research. Dr. Imburgia has a special interest in echocardiography, having become certified by the National Board of Echocardiography in 2003. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

 

Dr. Rudolph F. Licandro Dr. Licandro

Dr. Licandro is a 1980 graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He did his residence in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas from 1980-1983. He completed a fellowship in cardiology at Georgetown University in 1985 and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Licandro’s main interests are interventional cardiology, using the various angioplasty modalities, as well as pacemaker treatment of arrhythmias. He completed the NASPE exam in May 2005 to become certified in pacemaker placement. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

 

Dr. Brennan M. Haraden Dr. Haraden

Dr. Haraden received his M.D. degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. He did his residency and Cardiology Fellowship at Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri from 1993-1999. He spent a year at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology specializing in Nuclear Cardiology, and is Board Certified in Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Haraden’s research interests include Cardiac PET (photo-emission tomography). His main interests include all diagnostic cardiology from nuclear stress testing to cardiac catheterization. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Mini Das Dr. Das

Dr. Das graduated from the University of Alabama Medical School in 1991. She finished her Internal Medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic in 1994, and finished a cardiovascular fellowship in 1999, also at the Mayo Clinic. She has published articles in JACC and Archives Internal Medicine. Her interests include clinical cardiology, advanced echocardiography including myocardial perfusion imaging, and 3D cardiac imaging.

Dr. Thomas Tu

Dr. Tu graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1996. He did his residency in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital until 1999. He then completed Fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, and Peripheral Vascular Interventions in 2003 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Boston, MA). He has published articles in the New England Journal of Medicine and for the American College of Cardiology. His interests include advanced coronary angioplasty, minimally-invasive treatment of peripheral and cerebrovascular disease, and closure of atrial septal defects and patent foramen ovales. Dr. Tu is a Fellow of the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions, 2004.

 

Dr. Rebecca McFarland

Dr. McFarland obtained her BA from Taylor University in 1994. She attended the Medical College of Ohio from 1994-2004, where she completed her MD degree, residency and Cardiology Fellowship. Dr. McFarland has a special interest in Cardiac CT, having completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular CT in December 2007. She was board certified by the American Board of Cardiology in 2004. Dr. McFarland has been involved with the “Go Red” Foundation and is an advocate for educating woman about heart disease.

 

Dr. William Dillon
   

Dr. Dillon is an interventional cardiologist who is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Medicine. He attended Krannert Institute from 1996-200 where he did his Cardiovascular and Interventional Cardiology Fellowships. Dr. Dillon also completed a Peripheral Vascular Interventional Fellowship at Christ Hospital in Ohio, in 2000. Dr. Dillon is widely published and has a great interest in ongoing research. His areas of interest include the interventional aspects of cardiac medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

 

Dr. Jennifer Lash Crisp
   

Dr. Lash Crisp received her M.D. degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 2002. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Louisville in 2005 and her cardiology fellowship at Saint Louis University Hospital in 2008 with additional cardiac MRI training at Washington University in Saint Louis. From 2008-2009, she was the Associate Director of Cardiac Imaging, and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Saint Louis University, Division of Cardiology. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and in Cardiovascular Disease. Her special interests include echocardiography, nuclear diagnostics, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI. She is a Board Certified Diplomate in Adult Comprehensive Echocardiography and a Board Certified Diplomate in Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.

 

Dr. John Mandrola
   

Dr Mandrola graduated from the University of Connecticut Medical School in 1989. He then completed an Internal Medicine Residency, Cardiology Fellowship and Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship at Indiana University Medical Center in 1996. He is board certified in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology and is a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology. He has substantial experience the past 17 years in cardiac device implantation and management. His special interests involve cardiac ablation, including extensive experience with atrial fibrillation ablation techniques.
